Papa has a bad owner!!! Over the next few weeks the web page WILL be brought up to date!!!!

The rest of 2008 saw Papa win another Specialty Show (details to follow) and was recognized with numerous Group placements (photos to follow).

His 2-legged sister, Devin Regina was born 8/21/08 in NYC at 11:48am, tipping the scales at 7 lbs. 13.5 oz.

Paparazzi finished 2008 #1 Weimaraner Dog in the Country. We are so very proud of him!!!

Papa has a sister on the way!!!

Lynn is due 8/29/08

Following a bit of a break, Papa was back in the ring and raring to go, on 6/13/08 (who says Friday the 13th is bad luck?!)...and go he did. Under Judge Beth Speich Papa won the breed, and again under Judge Speich, Papa won the Sporting Group. 6/14 and 6/15, Papa again won the breed, under Judges Don Evans and Linda More, respectively. No such luck in the Group ring, however.

Well, the week of Weimaraner Nationals has come and gone. It was great to visit with some old friends and to make some new ones!

For us, the week started off with the Nutmeg Weimaraner Club Specialty Show. Paparazzi was recognized as Best of Opposite Sex under Judge Douglas Johnson. Congrats to all who participated!

Our next show was the Yankee Weimaraner Club Specialty. Paparazzi, again was recognized as Best of Opposite Sex, this time under Judge Sam Houston McDonald. The field looked great.

Wednesday evening culminated with the 2007 Top 20 Competition. Papa was lucky enough to squeek in, finishing 2007 at #10 in Breed Points and #15 in All Breed Points. What a difference a few months makes! Our three Judges for the evening were Ellen Grevatt, Kaki Fisher and Christine Pollender. After extensive examinations, the weims were scored, 125 ponts from each judge accross multiple characteristics, totalling 375 points. Our boy did well. He finished second, and lost by 0.5 points! Great job by all, but I have to wonder how he was scored a 7/10 for his topline by one judge...I could go on, but it will just sound like sour grapes! Suffice to say, we are very proud of Paparazzi, and so pleased he can serve as an ambassador for the breed.

Friday saw our week come to a crescendo, with the Weimaraner Club of America National Specialty Show. Another beautiful day welcomed the exhibitors and participants. Judge Keke Kahn was charged with assessing the field of the nations best. Paparazzi was again recognized as the Best of Opposite Sex. We may just change his name to "Boss".

Thanks to all who cheered on he and Stacy! A special Thanks to all the judges who were charged with the arduous task of evaluating all of our dogs!!!

Photos forthcoming.

Paparazzi returned to the ring this weekend, following a 2 week hiatus. Picking up where he had left off, he won the breed both Saturday (Judge Tom Hale) and Sunday (Judge Bettyann Hale) in Warwick, RI. Sunday, he was recognized as the Group 1 (Judge B. Hale). Thanks to both Judges for their recognition and all the ring-side support!!!!

This past weekend, in West Springfield, MA, Paparazzi received a Group 3 Friday, under Judge Frederick N. Dewsbury (Melvin Beech judged breed) and a Group 1 Saturday, under Melvin Beech (Mr. Dewsbury judged breed). Thanks to both judges for their recognition! (click to enlarge)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

This past weekend, in York, PA, Paparazzi went B.O.B. on 3/13 under judge B. Nolan Dale, B.O.B. on 3/14 under judge James R. White and closed out the weekend with a 3rd B.O.B. 3/16, under the discerning eye of judge Nancy S. Cowley. Appreciation goes out to each of the judges for their recognition...check the "Show Shots" for some pictures - particularly Papa's Mom (and Mom to be) handling him in the group ring on 3/14!!! Great job, Lynn!

Proud Owner Note: Although he didn't receive a Group Placement on 3/16, I believe it is the best he has looked to date (and I'm typing this after his most recent GRP 1 of 4/5)...See "Show Shots".

Paparazzi may have started out slowly, but he appears to be gaining momentum!!! Presently (results through 3-1-08) he is the #1 Weimaraner Dog in the Country in both Breed and All Breed totals!!!!

The faces change, but the result is the same!!!!

Today, in Wichita Falls, TX, with his "Western Handler", Susan Line, Paparazzi was recognized with a Group 1, by Judge Lester Mapes. Thanks to all who lent the copius ring support!!! (click image to enlarge)

Since Stacy decided to go on vacation without Papa (how rude!), he will be heading to the Lone Star State for the Wichita Falls shows and then down to San Antonio for a Specialty Show and the cluster that follows. If you are in the area, come on by and say "Howdy" to Papa and his travel buddy when in the South and West, Susan Line!!!!

Today in Suffern, NY, Papa won the breed under Judge Jeffery G. Pepper and went on to win the Sporting Group under Judge Robert D. Salsbury. Thanks to both Judges for their recognition and to all his ringside supporters!!! (click image to enlarge)

Congrats to all the Westminster exhibitors!!!

Today at "the show", Paparazzi went Best of Opposite Sex. Marge won the Breed (Congrats to she and A. Folz), and went on to win the Sporting Group. We could not be more pleased with the way Papa showed and the extent that he was able to showcase his wonderful structure, movement AND personality!!! Onward and upward. Don't forget to check the Westminster Videos to see Papa in action (he's #6 - but if you are here, you can pick him out!).(click below for larger images)

Today at the Big Apple Sporting Specialty, Paparazzi and Susan Line went Best of Opposite Sex...Still can't get past the bitches!!! Great Job Susan and Papa, fantastic warm-up for Westminster! (click to enlarge)

January finally behind him, Paparazzi is not looking back! Today in Queensbury, NY he went BOB under Judge: Mrs. Edeltraud Laurin and Group 2, under Judge: Mrs. Patricia Leakey Brenner. Papa thanks both judges for their recognition! (click to enlarge)

Hmmm, what to say about the Florida circuit? It was "interesting", to say the least. Long story short, there is a movement afoot to change Papa's name to "B.O.S.s". Congrats to all the winners!!!

We did make some wonderful friends (Donna (Papa's god-mother), Chris, Pat) and fostered Papa's bond with Stacy and Michael! Pictures should be up soon.

Papa will be hitting the Florida circuit in early January...Warming up for the big "Home Show", Westminster.

Papa ended 2007 #10 in Breed Points with axtremely limited showing...CONGRATS to Papa and all his support!!!!

Final show of the year, Papa ends on a high note...Group 2 in an extremely competitive Sporting Group. Thanks to Judge
